Philosophy

It started with bad air.

AIRABLE design board — the journey from problem to final form: field notes, key insight, the face, one face three sizes, the 5-stage stack, final form, and NYC asthma numbers

Design journey · problem → final form · NYC / NJ · summer 2026

No screws. No tools.
No hardware you'll ever see.

Hardware that puts an AC face to any space — faceplate, grills, filter stack, all held together with magnets.

01 — Design

Invisible until you look.

A single seamless aperture, flush with the ceiling grid. The mesh disappears when idle and opens when the room asks for air.

White — pick a finish, see every face in it.

airable tile in matte white, single slot aperture

Signature. One seamless slot.

airable tile with vent aperture open

In motion. The aperture opens and directs air where it's needed.

Every size. Every space.

Built around how you live — not around your ductwork. Three sizes, one experience.

Choose your airgrill.

Four apertures, from open channel to fine perforation. Every one snaps on magnetically and shapes the air differently.

Max, verified. The 24 × 24 carries two additional vent grills — three apertures moving air across the largest spaces.

02 — Filtration

Five stages. Zero tools.
Filtration in every product.

Every airable, every size, every edition carries the full stack. A washable stack of Japanese-inspired materials — including a dedicated aroma diffuser filter that releases a fine mist of musky scent. The whole cartridge clicks in and out on magnets. Swap it in seconds.

The five filter stages — 1 Washi fiber captures dust, lint, pollen, and dander; 2 Electret filter traps PM2.5, smoke, and allergens; 3 Binchotan charcoal adsorbs odors and moisture; 4 Aroma diffuser filter diffuses a fine mist of musky scent; 5 Kakishibu coating deodorizes and resists bacteria

Washi fiber

Nonwoven layer captures dust, lint, pollen, and dander.

03 — Themes

A theme for every room.

Personalize your airable tile with anything and everything — grills, perforations, and more. Every face is held by magnets: pull one off, snap another on. One gesture, no tools. Choose a theme to see its face.

Open — the full-breath face, aperture wide.

Open Airflow

A wide aperture face for rooms that want maximum air.

A person lifting an airable faceplate into an open ceiling duct by hand

Fits the ceiling you already have.

airable drops into a standard ceiling opening and seals to your existing duct. Lift it into place — the magnet ring pulls it flush, the tension rods lock it. No drywall work, no contractor, no screws.

01

Lift the housing into the existing opening — it seals to the duct behind.

02

The magnet ring pulls the tile flush with the ceiling plane, self-aligning.

03

Snap on any face. Done — swap grills or filters anytime, by hand.

Installs in minutes. Stays perfect.

Magnetic mounting plate secured to a standard AC duct opening

Prepare

The plate secures to any standard duct opening.

The vent cover aligning itself onto the magnets

Snap

Magnets align the cover and pull it into place. No screws.

The finished airable vent, seamless in the ceiling

Done

A seamless finish that elevates any space.

Air you can see.

One seamless slot, streaming filtered air the full length of the aperture.

04 — Engineering

Drawn to the millimeter.

Every radius and aperture is specified before it's built. The entire assembly is magnetic — a neodymium ring aligns and holds each part against gravity. Not a single screw.

3D model of the airable faceplate, extruded slot aperture
Machined faceplate part, brushed aluminum
CAD model — faceplate hovering above the magnetic mounting frame, exploded view

Two parts. The faceplate floats onto the magnetic frame — nothing else between them.

CAD model — the housing frame with tapered air channel and magnet pockets at each corner

One channel. The housing tapers the duct into the slot, with a magnet pocket at each corner.

SolidWorks model — louver faceplate with three slot apertures, isometric view

The louver face. Three apertures with fine parallel blades, machined from one plate.

SolidWorks model — slot faceplate, three open channels, isometric view

The open face. The same plate with channels cut clean through for full flow.

SolidWorks exploded view — faceplate, filter sheet, and magnetic housing frame in a vertical stack

Three layers. Faceplate, filtration sheet, magnetic frame — the whole exploded stack.

SolidWorks exploded view — rectangular and square faceplates over a shared filter and housing

One system, every size. Rectangular and square faces share the same filter and frame.

The real parts. Live.

The actual CAD solids — drag to rotate, slide to pull the stack apart.

Max — the 3-vent face.

The 24 × 24 plate with three louvered vents, as one machined solid. Drag to rotate.

3 in

Body depth from wall or ceiling

0 screws

Pure magnet alignment — nothing else holds it

05 — Spaces

Beyond the home.
The office, the store, even transport.

One system for houses, offices, and towers — flush with any ceiling grid, serviced without a ladder crew. Anywhere air moves and people breathe.

airable output

Integrated air distribution for modern ceilings — one slot per bay, invisible at a glance.

Side profile

Low profile, flush with the ceiling grid. No boxes, no grilles, no shadows.

Accessible design

The faceplate removes by hand for maintenance and cleaning — no ladder crew, no downtime.

The airable app

Every room. From anywhere.

Leaving the gym? Cool the bedroom, warm the kitchen, and let a fine mist of scent fill the living room before you're home. The app tells you when a filter wants washing or a part needs attention — the tile itself stays silent.
